The Student Success Committee has been identifying and meeting with area specialists and professionals to discuss the Goals and Objectives of Dimension A. These professionals include Debbie Kingsbury, Ed Lincoln, Lisa Vasaturo, and Ron Goldberg. They have helped us to discover existing solutions and processes; they have also made suggestions and observations that we will be factoring into our plan, goals, and processes moving forward.
We are working to establish a process to continue to connect with professionals across campus. At first, we used an online survey for each of our goals, but found that one-on-one meetings provide the best feedback. Through these meetings we have found that their expertise, suggestions, and observations need to be factored into our plan, goals, and process moving forward.
In order to organize our goals and objectives with current and suggested processes we created a spreadsheet through Google. Every committee member has access to the document so we can make updates or refer to it as needed.
Our spreadsheet has helped us to identify potential collaborators on campus, organize existing solutions, establish potential costs, and think about recommendations from the area specialists and professionals.
While some of our goals may take a few years to achieve, our general timeline is as follows:
Year 1: Contact professionals in the action item fields, clarify goals and action items
Years 2-3: Put processes in place to address action items
Year 3: Conduct an assessment of new and established processes
Years 4-5: Reevaluate and change processes appropriately
