Anna Mlasowsky, an artist-in-residence at Sculpture Space in Utica, N.Y., is visiting Rochester Institute of Technology’s glass program for an artist talk. It is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 22, in Booth Hall, room 3634.
The entire RIT community is welcome to hear about Mlasowsky’s current work and practice.
Born in Germany, Mlasowsky uses emerging technologies and uncommon approaches to glass methodology to create experiment-driven sculptures, objects and video work influenced by glass’ material qualities. She has an international record of teaching, exhibiting and working in residence.
Mlasowsky received a BA in glass from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and an MFA in sculpture from the University of Washington.
