    School of Photographic Arts and Sciences honors show

    The annual School of Photographic Arts and Sciences (SPAS) honors show displays work by students that was judged and selected by faculty. 

    This year’s juried exhibition is set to open with a reception at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in William Harris Gallery and remain on view through the summer. Students in all SPAS programs were eligible to enter work for consideration.  

    Purchase prizes will be awarded to students whose work is bought by Rochester Institute of Technology faculty, staff and departments.

    4D Design final screenings

    College of Imaging Arts and Sciences (CAD) at RIT students in all sections of the 4D Design course will present their final projects during an afternoon screening event. 

    The screenings are scheduled to run from 12:30-4:45 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in Webb Auditorium (Booth Hall, first floor). Students enrolled in 4D Design are from multiple disciplines within CAD, including School of Photographic Arts and Sciences programs, School of Art programs, 3D digital design and new media design.

    Industrial design MFA thesis exhibition

    Thesis work by 19 industrial design (MFA) candidates will be on display from May 4-12 in University Gallery, with an opening reception slated for 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 4.

    The show will include work by the following industrial design students: Xavier Arvelo, Kenneth Chen, Weiying Chen, Wentian Chen, Xiaoru Chen, Shima Ghaheri, Xinyue Guo, Limin He, Jiameng Huang, Fang-yi Lin, Meng Liu, Yingyi Mo, Brendan Murphy, Wenxi Qi, Maitrayee Sohni, Mintesinot Gebre, Aishwaryra Uniyal, David Villarreal and Akanksha Vishwakarma.

    The show will share a space with the visual communication design (MFA) thesis exhibit, which opens the same night, offering the public a thorough look at Rochester Institute of Technology’s graduate design programs.

The show will share a space with the industrial design (MFA) thesis exhibit, which opens the same night, offering the public a thorough look at Rochester Institute of Technology’s graduate design programs.
