Money Mondays: Creating a Budget & Achieving Savings Goals

The RIT Financial Literacy team is sponsoring a workshop series for RIT students during the spring semester titled “Money Mondays,” which kicks off at noon on Monday, Jan. 31, with “Creating a Budget & Achieving Savings Goals in the New Year.”

Join College of Art and Design Assistant Dean Sharon Kompalla-Porter and Advantage Federal Credit Union Marketing and Business Development Strategist Laura Durant to learn about the basics of budgeting, including understanding income and expenses and how to set and achieve savings goals in the new year. There will be three additional sessions being offered in February, March and April on topics such as relationships and money, understanding the key elements of a job offer and negotiating salary, student loan exit counseling and understanding what you owe. All sessions can be registered for in CampusGroups, and several will be recorded for those that cannot attend live and will be made available on the RIT Financial Literacy website.
